WOMAN ARRESTED AFTER HER BOYFRIEND TOLD HER TO CALM DOWN: "THAT WAS THE WRONG SENTENCE" BOWLING GREEN, KENTUCKY — Kaylin Struthers, 26, was cited early Sunday after neighbors reported a two-hour disturbance that began when her boyfriend used the phrase "just calm down" during a discussion about a restaurant reservation. Officers say Struthers responded by carrying his entire sneaker collection, 14 pairs, to the front lawn and arranging them in a straight line by release date. Neighbors say she then set up a folding chair beside them and read every text he had sent since April out loud in a level voice, pausing between each one to let it land. Struthers allegedly ordered $240 of food to the house under his name and had it delivered in nine separate orders over 40 minutes. Investigators say she changed the password on the shared streaming account and renamed his profile "CALM" and set the language to Portuguese. Officers reportedly recovered a poster board taped to the mailbox listing the exact time he said it, 7:42 p.m., in three-inch marker under the heading "FOR THE RECORD." Roughly 25 neighbors watched from driveways as police arrived, with several openly siding with Struthers and one woman shouting the phrase back at the responding officers. "In 19 years of service, I have never seen a lawn organized that neatly," said Officer Dale Ferrand. "The shoes were by release date." He said two words to end the argument.
