EX LIVESTREAMS HERSELF TRYING TO RETURN HIS CAT TO A SHELTER Brianna Holt expected applause for her breakup statement. Instead, her livestream became a group project called Give The Cat Back. The Nashville, Tennessee, woman carried her ex's cat, Walter, into a shelter and announced that she was "releasing everything connected to the past." Walter had spent the car journey expressing his own views about release. At the desk, an employee asked whether Brianna owned him. She said ownership was complicated. The employee asked a second time, without the opportunity for a philosophical answer. Brianna admitted the cat belonged to her ex, but insisted she'd bought several bags of treats during the relationship and therefore had standing. Her viewers disagreed. The comments filled with requests to stop filming and contact the owner. Brianna tilted the phone away from the screen, then complained that the employee wasn't respecting her personal growth. The shelter kept Walter safe while contacting his owner. Brianna tried to turn the delay into another speech. When her ex arrived, Walter pressed against the carrier door and immediately stopped complaining. The cat went home with him.
