WAITRESS ARRESTED AFTER REFUSING TO BRING A TEXAS ROADHOUSE CUSTOMER HIS ROLLS UNTIL HE APOLOGIZED TO HIS PREGNANT WIFE FOR ORDERING HER "THE LIGHTER OPTION" A Sunset City Texas Roadhouse waitress was allegedly arrested Saturday night after refusing to deliver a basket of cinnamon butter rolls to a four-top until the husband at the table apologized to his pregnant wife for ordering on her behalf. Emily Carter, 28, was reportedly working the Saturday dinner rush when a couple seated in her section ordered before the wife had opened her menu. "He didn't even let her sit down all the way," Emily said. "She was still adjusting her chair. He looked at me and said, quote, 'She'll have the grilled chicken salad, dressing on the side, no croutons, she's watching it.'" The wife, identified by witnesses as Megan, was reportedly 7 months pregnant. Cell phone footage taken by a nearby booth allegedly shows Emily pausing, turning to Megan, and asking calmly, "Ma'am, were you watching it, or was he watching it for you?" Megan reportedly admitted she had been planning to order the 6 oz sirloin with loaded mashed potatoes. Emily allegedly wrote down the sirloin, walked away without acknowledging the husband, and informed the kitchen that table 14 was "on a vibe hold." When the husband flagged Emily down to ask about the famous Texas Roadhouse rolls, Emily reportedly responded, "Rolls are coming right after the apology." The husband, identified by witnesses only as Greg, allegedly laughed. Emily did not laugh. Texas Roadhouse manager Devin Holloway told reporters he was alerted by a server who noticed table 14 had been waiting 31 minutes without bread. "I asked Emily what the holdup was," Devin said. "She pointed at Greg. She said, 'He knows.' I looked at him. He did seem to know." Greg allegedly held out for 22 more minutes before mumbling an apology to Megan in the direction of the salt shaker. Emily reportedly required him to repeat it with eye contact. He complied. The rolls were delivered.
