ALABAMA WOMAN ARRESTED AFTER ALLEGEDLY DRIVING HER HUSBAND'S F-150 INTO A POND BECAUSE HE LIKED A WOMAN'S PHOTO ON FACEBOOK FROM 2018 TUSCALOOSA, AL — Authorities arrested Sutton Caroline Pickett, 31, on Tuesday afternoon after she allegedly drove her husband's 2023 Ford F-150 Lariat directly into a five-acre catfish pond off County Road 47 because she discovered he had liked a woman named Crystal's bikini photo on Facebook from June of 2018. Witnesses say Pickett, wearing her husband's Crimson Tide hoodie, fuzzy socks, and one Hey Dude shoe, calmly put the truck in drive, rolled down all four windows "so it would sink faster," and stepped out at the last possible second. According to the police report: - Pickett discovered the like at 1:47 p.m. while scrolling through her husband Brody's old Facebook activity log - The photo in question was reportedly captioned "Gulf Shores girls trip 🌴" and the woman, Crystal, had 47 mutual friends with Brody including his own mother - Pickett allegedly called her sister, identified only as Kennedy 💅, and was recorded on speakerphone saying "I'm doing it Ken, I'm doing the pond, tell Mama I love her" - A neighbor across the field, identified only as Mr. Earl on his porch, recorded the entire incident while saying "she got out clean, she even closed the door, that's a woman who thought this through" - Officers recovered the truck partially submerged with a handwritten note taped to the steering wheel that read "ASK CRYSTAL FOR A RIDE HOME BRODY" Sergeant Wade Holcombe, a 26-year veteran of the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office, addressed reporters at the scene. "In twenty-six years I have responded to keyed cars, slashed tires, and one Bronco set on fire over a text message. This is the first time the evidence was a 2018 thumbs up. I am going home."
