Witnesses said Kolchak had been surveilling the table from behind a hostess stand for nearly 40 minutes, taking notes on a cocktail napkin, before finally making her move toward the back hallway. Followed the date past the hostess stand using a rolled-up menu as a face shield Waited outside the occupied stall whispering "I can hear you not peeing nervously" Left a handwritten business card reading "Ask him about Cabo, sweetie" propped on the sink Attempted to fix the stranger's mascara "so she'd at least look put together when he inevitably dumps her too" Was still lingering by the paper towel dispenser, arms crossed, when responding officers arrived Diners near the back hallway said the entire restaurant went eerily silent except for one nearby table loudly and repeatedly requesting their check.
