WOMAN CHARGED AFTER SMUGGLING TUPPERWARE UNDER HER DRESS AT BUFFET INDIANAPOLIS, IN — Brittany Fletcher, 46, was charged with theft after allegedly concealing four food storage containers beneath a dress, secured with straps, and filling them from a buffet service line over several trips. Staff reportedly observed activity beneath the tablecloth at her table A manager approached. Fletcher allegedly stood. One container came loose and landed on the floor Recovered contents included mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, fried chicken and a quantity of gravy that did not survive the journey Fletcher allegedly told officers she does this weekly at various establishments and has never been stopped She reportedly appeared more surprised than embarrassed The restaurant has since added a line to its posted rules regarding outside containers Staff say they had never previously considered the rule necessary to write down. "We have a sign about shoes. We have a sign about shirts. We now have a sign about Tupperware and I had to phone somebody to get it approved," said restaurant operations manager Fitzgerald Amara, 12 years with the chain. She has been charged and banned.
