An attendant hurried over before Martin could turn an expensive misunderstanding into something worse. Martin said he knew it was electric. He assumed the premium option worked differently. The attendant took the nozzle back and explained that he needed a charger. Martin pointed at the illuminated numbers on the pump and argued that there was clearly electricity available somewhere. Another customer offered to help him find a nearby charging station. Martin declined because his navigation had directed him here and he trusted technology more than opinions. He had searched for "gas." After staff secured the pump, Martin demanded an adapter. Told there wasn't one, he accused the business of advertising itself as a service station while refusing service.
