MAN ARRESTED AFTER EATING 47 FREE BREADSTICKS WITHOUT ORDERING ANYTHING ELSE He sat down, ordered a single ice water, and then politely accepted basket after basket until the kitchen physically ran out of dough. KISSIMMEE, FL — Local resident Eddie Marsh, 38, was arrested Thursday after eating 47 complimentary breadsticks at an Olive Garden over the course of three hours without ordering a single paid item. Marsh requested "just one more basket" 16 separate times while nursing the same free water He told the server the breadsticks were "technically unlimited" and that he was "honoring the policy fully" Staff say he had brought his own small dish of garlic butter "to supplement the house supply" When the manager cut him off, he asked for the breadstick count "for his personal records" He argued the menu never stated a minimum purchase and offered to leave a $2 tip "out of respect" A couple two booths over told reporters they have eaten there for years and never watched the kitchen wave a white flag over a man and a basket.
