CRYSTAL CLEAR SCAM: PASSENGER SET UP A FAKE PSYCHIC BOOTH ON THE LIDO DECK AND RAN IT FOR THREE DAYS BEFORE CREW CAUGHT ON Miami, Florida — Serena Vale, 38, was removed from a Carnival cruise ship and permanently banned after crew say she set up a full psychic readings booth on the Lido deck, complete with a crystal ball, a purple tapestry-draped table, and a cash box, charging fellow passengers $15 a session for three straight days. Crew say Vale's booth blended in well enough with the ship's actual scheduled activities that dozens of passengers lined up without realizing it wasn't sanctioned by the cruise line at all. Vale allegedly charged $15 per reading, advertised on a handwritten sign reading "PAST PRESENT FUTURE" Witnesses say she collected cash directly into a small lockbox kept on the table throughout each session Crew say she relocated the booth twice to avoid being spotted by security making rounds She reportedly told one passenger a "life-changing decision" was coming within the week, unprompted Security intervened after a passenger complained the reading felt "suspiciously generic" and asked for a refund Fellow passengers described the booth as "genuinely convincing" given how professional the setup looked. "In 12 years working cruise security, I've never had to shut down an unauthorized psychic business mid-voyage," said onboard security officer Danilo Reyes.
